The yearly fundraisers at the Bach keep getting better and more exciting each year. The repertoire is versatile and will include swinging jazz, hard bop, post bop, Latin, Brazilian, bluesy-funky sounds, blending in flavors of world music, such as Balkan, Middle Eastern, flamenco featuring the sassy Kim Nalley headlining the vocal spot. Multi-reed saxophonist Noel Jewkes, the legendary San Francisco Bay Area favorite along with guitarist Josh Workman – a most versatile musician and guest member of Kim Nalley’s band will form the instrumental front line. Special guest; flutist Roger Glenn will add spice to the Latin jazz funky flavor, as will the hot, Puerto Rican born, Latin jazz percussionist Hector Lugo. The All-Star Bay Area rhythm section of pianist-organizer Larry Vuckovich; bassist, mandolinist Michael Zisman and drummer Akira Tana will give fiery support to the ensemble.
