Berkley City Club opened in 1929 and much of the original architecture and décor has been lovingly preserved. Our landmark building was designed by famed Hearst Castle architect Julia Morgan. In fact, similarities between the Berkeley City Club and Hearst Castle have helped give our building the nickname “The Little Castle”.
