Following last year’s thought-provoking inauguration of the Poetry Festival, SFJAZZ Poet Laureate Ishmael Reed curates the second happening, made powerful by the collective improvisation between words and music. Prominent Bay Area lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-gender and queer poets have been invited to showcase their work Sunday, curated and hosted by poet, Lamdba Literary Fellow and interdisciplinary artist Indira Allegra. Poets include Elena Rose, Jewelle Gomez, Amir Rabiyah and Sharon Bridgforth.
