Following last year’s thought-provoking inauguration of the Poetry Festival, SFJAZZ Poet Laureate Ishmael Reed curates the second happening, made powerful by the collective improvisation between words and music. Prominent Bay Area Jewish-American poets have been invited to showcase their work Saturday evening, hosted by renowned Beat Generation poet David Meltzer. Poets include Marcia Falk, Jack Hirschman and Alan Kaufman.
