Rova Sax Quartet (Steve Adams, Bruce Ackley, Jon Raskin, Larry Ochs) returns to CNM distilling and evolving its 3+ hours of music performed at the Garden of Memory in Oakland from June 21, 2014. (This show will be shorter! About 60 to 80 minutes, tbd…) At the Garden of Memory, the band used simple structures created out of its “Radar” music vocabulary to perform extended “structured improvisations” with all kinds of subtly added nuance included in the performances at Chapel of the Chimes. Expect the Unexpected.
