Nancy Karp + Dancers’ 2024 Season includes the world premiere of ‘Eppur si muove,’ set to an expanded version of Samuel Adams’ ‘Sundial,’ a work for string quartet and percussion, performed live by Friction Quartet.
In the second half of the program, Nancy Karp + Dancers will reprise ‘fly through the night, and land near dawn.’ Praised for its “imaginative movement,” and performed by “a powerhouse ensemble,” (Critical Dance), ‘fly through the night’ features music by Berkeley-based composer David A. Jaffe.
The dancers this season include: Rachel Garcia, Sonsherée Giles, Anna Greenberg Gold, Amy Lewis, Nol Simonse, Calvin L. Thomas, Jr., and Elizabeth Zepeda.
