What better way to celebrate love than through music? Get into the Valentine’s Day spirit with our concert of love-themed cantatas by Louis-Nicolas Clérambault and Michel Pignolet de Montéclair as well as exquisite airs de cour by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Michel Lambert, and Honoré D’Ambruys. These beautiful works are interspersed with scintillating instrumental pieces by Jean-Henri d’Anglebert and Marin Marais. Les Bostonades welcomes the return of soprano extraordinaire Teresa Wakim, joining Emily Walhout on the viola da gamba and Akiko Sato on the harpsichord.

The period-instrument ensemble Les Bostonades has been sharing chamber music with Boston area audiences since its founding in 2005. The ensemble features Baroque music specialists who have studied and performed all over the world, who collaborate in Boston’s vibrant early music scene, bringing spirited and polished performances to their listeners. The ensemble’s performances have been described as “the most engaging chamber music playing…[a] generous, voluptuous sound…well delineated, [and with] a poignancy of emotion.”
