HOT from Hopmonk-Novato—legendary San Diegan Jeff Alan Berkley’d already celebrated 40 years of making-music all over the world when in 2023 the San Diego Music Academy nominated him for ~10 Best Album Awards for Producing~ including his own new album Jeff Berkley and The Banned’s, “I Can Reach The Stars“. The SDMA further awarded Jeff 2023 Artist of the Year and inducted him into the San Diego Music Hall of Fame…needless to say, kudos for 2024 are piling up.
A Kerrville, TX, New Folk Winner (other winners: Steve Earle, Nancy Griffith, David Wilcox), Jeff’s toured the US, UK & Australia solo, as half of BerkleyHart (with Calman Hart) and as guitar player and percussionist with Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Ben Harper, Joel Rafael, Indigo Girls, and many many more.
Jeff presently plays lead guitar for (fmr Giants 3rd base coach/singer-songwriter) Tim Flannery’s band The Lunatic Fringe, leads and produces his own band The Banned, the BerkleyHart Duo, his own solo works…and his Production output for a lengthy stable of other fine musicians is monumental. Jeff’s support of other artists defines generosity.
