Please join us for our 4th Annual Bach Fundraiser. We will have wine tasting and superb appetizers, a bit of comedy and a live auction. If we are inspired we might do some dancing too!
Saxophonist and clarinetist Patrick Wolff brings the College of San Mateo Concert Jazz Ensemble, a 16-piece big band. Wolff has become a creative force in the Bay Area since relocating here in 2009 from New York City. As a bandleader, he’s honed an enthralling repertoire arranging overlooked gems by masters like Clifford Jordan, and Lucky Thompson and as a composer he has crafted a book of intricate, intertwining compositions for his numerous band configurations. He has performed with many of the world’s greatest musicians including more recently Charles McPherson and Chris Potter as well as some of the most exciting local bandleaders, including Marcus Shelby, Erik Jekabsen and the late Andrew Speight.
Preceding the big band we will be entertained by the Half Moon Bay High School Jazz Band lead by Walter Anderson.
Come support these wonderful community bands while supporting the Bach at the same time!
