Grammy-nominated saxophonist and composer Melissa Aldana makes her eagerly awaited Bach debut. At 33, the Brooklyn-based tenor player from Santiago, Chile has garnered international recognition for her visionary work. Her album Visions, noted one of best albums of 2019 by NPR Music, earned the saxophonist her first Grammy nomination for “Best Improvised Jazz Solo.” Notably she signed with Blue Note Records and in March of 2022, released her highly acclaimed debut album, 12 Stars. Aldana is also one of the founding members of ARTEMIS, the all-star collective that released their debut album ARTEMIS on Blue Note in 2020. Come and enjoy “one of the more exciting young tenor saxophonists today” (The New York Times.)
