Founded in 1975 and based at the Palácio dos Azulejos, the Museum of Image and Sound is an institution that since its creation has preserved and disseminated an important collection of audiovisual memory in the city of Campinas, with hundreds of equipment for the production and reproduction of images and sounds. Covering areas of Video and Audio, Photography, Music, Cinema, Technological Objects and Heritage Education, it follows the general trend that museums currently occupy in society, which is to act as a social microcosm and enable knowledge to society by valuing multiple activities.
