Jerry Vivino Quartet
- Jerry Vivino – saxophone, flute, vocals (Conan, Stanley Clark, Springsteen)
- Clayton Cameron – drums (Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr.)
- Ric Fierabracci – bass (Chick Corea, Billy Cobham)
- Andy Langham – piano (Christian McBride, Clark Terry, Willie Nelson)
This quartet of LA’s finest will feature a mix of jazz standards, soul jazz, bebop — Buddy Rich meets Louie Belson, meets Cozy Cole meets Art Blakey! The big treat however is “Brushman” Clayton Cameron — one of the greatest drummer/brushman of our time. Saxman Jerry Vivino says, Clayton “brings a style of drumming and musicianship that will literally blow your mind! Clayton Cameron has it all going on!”
Clayton, a professor of jazz at U.C.L.A. under Kenny Burrell, has toured or recorded with many mega stars including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Sting, Billy Joel and many more. He is best known for his long-time association touring and recording with Tony Bennett on 15 albums, many of which received Grammy Awards. As a consummate teacher, his groundbreaking book and CD on the elusive art of brushes is considered the definitive reference book on the art form. (http://www.claytoncameron.com/)
