The Chocolate Heads is a “movement driven band” composed of Stanford student dancers, musicians, and visual and spoken-word artists, under the direction of Dance Division faculty member and choreographer Aleta Hayes. The wildly inventive, genre-mashing collective shares the Bing stage with bassist and kindred spirit William Parker.
Generously supported by KCSM Jazz 91.1 and the John and Millicent Powers Fund in the Stanford Arts Institute.
Generously funded by The Koret Foundation, the Koret Jazz Project is a multi-year initiative to support, expand, and celebrate the role of jazz in the artistic and education programming of Stanford Live.
