Shakespeare in Love, based on the Academy Award-winning movie, is one of two productions running in repertory at Sanborn County Park in Saratoga, California.
Young Will Shakespeare has writer’s block. The deadline for his new play is approaching, but he’s in dire need of inspiration. That is until he finds his muse: the brilliant and beautiful Viola. This crafty young woman is Will’s greatest admirer and will stop at nothing to appear in his next play. Against a background of mistaken identity, scheming, and backstage antics, Will’s love for Viola blossoms, inspiring him to write his greatest romantic masterpiece.
This hilarious reimagining of Shakespeare’s process will enchant audiences.
