Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema brings you yet another exciting screening… but this time it’s online!

Due to Covid-19 shutdowns, Sans Souci’s 17th Annual Premiere Event will be a virtual screening at the end of our season, representing the culmination of our 2020 events. The rich and diverse program includes many of the top-scoring films of this season, plus 4 live Artist Chats on Zoom with directors and performers from the films. In collaboration with the University of Colorado Boulder’s Department of Theatre and Dance, Sans Souci presents these 13 films, hailing from the Germany, Spain, Indonesia, U.K, U.S., Brazil, Finland, South Korea, France, and Belgium. These short films are sure to entertain, intrigue, challenge, and delight dance cinema lovers, and those yet to fall in love. This ticketed online screening will be available for one week on CU Presents Digital. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite films for the Audience Choice Awards!

We’ll host four live online Artist Chats this week as well, to connect audiences with artists, and create discussion around the issues important in our arts world today. We’ll hear many of these films’ directors speak on race and gender representation in screendance, site specific art creation, and staying creative in these trying times. The Artist Chat Series runs concurrently with the screenings, Sept 28-Oct 2.
