Organic Interaction: Mari Kimura, violin featuring Roberto Morales Manzanares and recent works.
Mari Kimura will give a solo recital entitled “Organic Interaction” at the CCRMA (Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics) presenting a program of her recent works using “Augmented Violin” (IRCAM), and with interactive graphics. Mari will be joined by her long-time collaborator and multi-instrumentalist/composer Roberto Morales Manzanares, a visiting professor from Mexico to CCRMA this year. Mari and Roberto will perform together through Roberto’s ‘organic’ or intuitive interactive performance systems, in premiering Roberto’s new work “Awareness” (or “Conciencia”).
