“The Garden” is Now Available!

Marya Stark performing songs from “The Garden” with a full band and featuring special guests Maesyn, Mama Crow and members of the orchestral and percussion ensemble involved in the arrangement and recording of the record and very special guest Micropixie.

From the sunny coast of Santa Cruz, California, singer-songwriter Marya Stark emerges from Gadgetbox Studios, where she and producer Andy Zenzack have been chiseling away for over a year to delicately craft a sonic masterpiece. Marya’s debut album “The Garden” is a collection of 13 songs ranging in influence from classical aria, pop music, and cinematic indie folk. Each song blossoms, carving its own unique aesthetic world. The record features lush string arrangements, pounding orchestral drum sections and Queen-styled vocal harmonies. At the center of it all is Marya’s refined, hypnotic and enchanting voice weaving intelligent, honest and lucid stories. Her hope-filled anthems, dynamic musicality and expansive emotional landscapes show the many facets of a passionate, awakening heart.

Made in Bombay, born and raised in the UK, and based in SF-Oh!, Micropixie aka MPX is the extra-terrestrial alter ego of writer, fillum-maker and fulltime human being, Single Beige Female. MPX’s first album Alice in Stevie Wonderland tells the story of One Little Alien’s mission on Earth to understand what it means to be human. The sequel The Good, The Beige, and The Ugly is out now. Also a concept album, its subtitle is: “An Intergalactic Feminist Spy Thriller”.
