“The Overnight” was one of the most talked-about films to premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, based on its racy premise alone. Writer-director (and Nevada City native) Patrick Brice’s second feature centers on a couple (‘Parks and Rec’ star Adam Scott and “Orange is the New Black” star Taylor Schilling) new to Los Angeles who attend a “playdate” with another family, only to soon discover that the other couple’s intentions aren’t exactly G-rated. Jason Schwartzman and Judith Godrèche play the swinging duo, set on making the most of their night (Indiewire). Director Patrick Brice will be in the house to answer all of your questions during Q&A. Tickets $10/GA, $8/Students, Seniors and Magic Lantern Film Society Members
Stick around for the After Party with Strictly Business starting at 10:30pm and free to the public. Enjoy a no-host bar, complimentary late night snacks and the swamp stomp boogie of up and coming duo Strictly Business. We hear birthday cake will be served to celebrate our Festival Director’s birthday!
