An evening filled with performances by Vela Arbutina, Melanie Bonajo, KroOt Juurak and Zhana Ivanova. This event specifically questions the notions of audience participation. The participating artists employ various strategies in their exploration of this subject matter based on their respective backgrounds, interests and objectives.
I Missed your Performance – Performance series at NASA is a series of performative events taking place over the coming months.The performances merge an array of artistic disciplines like visual arts, music, sound and theatre and whether they come scripted or unscripted, are improvised or carefully planned. Each of these acts is staged for an audience, whether passive or engaged, and are thus constituted as an interface between the performer and the audience. This program questions the nature of performance, as well as the role and expectations of the audience in relation to this interdisciplinary and multifaceted form of artistic expression.
