Livermore Valley Opera presents Mozart’s Don Giovanni sung in Italian with English supertitles, at the Bankhead Theater March 1, the first of four performances running through March 9. New this season, the Saturday performance on March 8 will be a 2 PM matinée instead of an evening performance. Mozart’s operatic masterpiece, arguably the greatest tragicomedy ever written, revolves around Don Giovanni’s amorous escapades. Accompanied by his skeptical servant Leporello, the libertine pursues rich and poor alike until his wanton ways finally lead to his dramatic downfall. Filled with some of his most famous music and much-beloved arias Mozart’s Don Giovanni offers an unforgettable experience.
