- William Winant
- Klang!!
Murderous…Again – combines the dynamic spoken word of Lydia Lunch with the psycho-ambient jazz noir of Tim Dahl and Matt Nelson to create an intimate evening of provocative musical poetry.
Lydia Lunch has been touring in a variety of mediums since 1977. In 1982 she began performing and curating spoken word shows in NYC at The Pyramid, The Knitting Factory, The Kitchen, The Performing Garage, La Mama, The Roxy Hotel and numerous other venues. She has appeared live with John Giorno, Hubert Selby Jr, Karen Finley, Jerry Stahl, Wanda Coleman, Henry Rollins, and Last Poet Umar Bin Hassan to name a few, often arranging shows and booking tours throughout America, Europe and Australia. She has presented workshops for writers throughout the USA and Europe, where she continues to tour with both music and spoken word.
In 2016, William Winant was awarded a large unrestricted grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts in recognition for his groundbreaking work as a contemporary percussionist. In 2014 he received a Grammy nomination for his recording of John Cage’s historic solo work, 27′ 10.554″ for a percussionist, on Micro Fest Records.
KLANG!! is an improvising rock trio led by Myles Boisen (Splatter Trio, John Zorn, Tom Waits) featuring drummer Jordan Glenn (Fred Frith Trio) and Safa Shokrai (Lost Shapes) on acoustic bass. Their music is a jagged conversation that switches dialects effortlessly and changes channels nervously.
