Legendary balladeer Gordon Lightfoot, who emerged from the 1960’s coffeehouse scene with ground-breaking multi-platinum albums and eloquent musical masterpieces, performs his first San Francisco concert in 30 years. With his rich warm voice, nimble guitar technique and tight knit acoustic ensemble, Lightfoot weaves tales of love and longing with such timeless, thought-provoking songs as “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Sundown,” “Early Morning Ran,” “Carefree Highway,” “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “Canadian Railroad Trilogy” and many more.
