From their beginnings in 1998, the members of ETHEL have prized collaboration. In recent years, the quartet has struck up a particularly fruitful collaboration with the Lebanese-born, Brooklyn-based violinist and composer Layale Chaker. Their album Vigil offers a chance to document some of that collective work, with each member of ETHEL contributing a piece and Chaker contributing two works. Guests at GatherNYC, a revolutionary Sunday morning concert experience, are served exquisite live classical music performed by New York’s immensely talented artists, artisanal coffee and pastries, a taste of spoken word, and a brief celebration of silence.

Doors at 10:30 AM, with complimentary coffee/pastries
