The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) opens its doors late for another sensational installation of Friday Nights at OMCA! OMCA will host Orchestra Gold to the Garden Stage. Orchestra Gold pays homage to Malian musical traditions while crafting a fierce new sound with heavy swinging rhythms, funky fresh brass, and cosmic guitar licks. DJ Teao Sense and their highly eclectic stylings with music from all over the world also celebrate how our diversity can create powerful and groovy waves. The TropiCali Dancehall Lesson with Aimee will keep guests’ minds and bodies activated as this workshop focuses on both the signature steps of dancehall, as well as its culture, history, and context.
