Presented in conjunction with the American Guild of Organists 2024 National Convention in San Francisco (June 30-July 4), Dr. Freese’s colorful and engaging program at Grace Cathedral presents music by Jean Langlais, Alesh Jermar, Alexandre Guilmant, Pauline Decker, Florence Price, and Leo Sowerby. The concert will be accompanied by dancers choreographed by Kristin D’Addario, screen projections, and light effects on the interior walls.
Faythe Freese, Professor Emeritus of Organ at the University of Alabama School of Music, is in international demand as a recitalist. She has been called “an organ superstar” (Denver Post) and evinces “fiery and virtuosic playing” (The Boston Musical Intelligencer).
