Emerald City Music returns to the stage for its ninth season, celebrating Artistic Director Kristin Lee’s upcoming solo album, American Sketches. American Sketches captures the pride that Kristin Lee has for the U.S. as a foreign-born citizen, through tunes that embody a recognizable and spirited sound. Lee performs with pianist Jun Cho, showcasing selections from the album including music by H.T. Burleigh, Jonathan Ragonese, Ernest Bloch, George Gershwin, JJ Johnson, Scott Joplin, and Amy Beach, with arrangements by Jeremy Ajani Jordan.
