The Davis Odd Fellows’ Thursday Live! show features Dirty Cello and According to Bazooka. Both acts will span many musical genres.
From China to Italy, and all over the U.S., Dirty Cello brings the world a high energy and unique spin on blues and bluegrass. Led by vivacious cross-over cellist, Rebecca Roudman, Dirty Cello is cello like you’ve never heard before. From down home blues with a wailing cello to virtuosic stompin’ bluegrass, Dirty Cello is a band that gets your heart thumping and your toes tapping!
“Dirty Cello’s music is all over the map: funky, carnival, romantic, sexy, tangled, electric, fiercely rhythmic, and textured, and only occasionally classical.”
– Lou Fancher, Oakland Magazine
According to Bazooka is singer-songwriters Richard Urbino and Rene Martucci write Americana pop tunes performed with an unusual combination of guitar, accordion, upright bass and male and female vocals. Inspired by the vibrant west coast music scene, their catchy melodies infuse California flavor into their folk pop originals.
“With a blend of rock-a-billy rhythm, country-blues guitar solos and pop vocal harmonies, According to Bazooka is truly unique.”
– Joshua Gutierrez, Daily Democrat
