Cambur Pintón is a movie about the power of music. The documentary uncovers the musical grooves of Venezuelan people’s daily life. It shows, with no narration, superb image and sound, the journey of how a traditional instrument is made, how its rhythm can move people and how these stories from modest roots can share glimmers of hope amidst struggle around the world. Rennea Couttenye, a San Francisco-based musician and the co-producer of this film, will perform Venezuelan music and talk about the filmmaking process and Venezuelan culture.
