André Custodio hosts a series of performances of textured sound utilizing electronics and other instruments for a bookstore environment. He will be performing solo for most of these Saturdays, but will occasionally be inviting others to fill-in.
Audible Method was established in 1997 in San Francisco, and featured the works of artists such as David Slusser, LX Rudis, Tom Nunn, Ernesto Diaz-Infante, Bruce Eisenbeil, Brian Fergus, Phillip Greenlief, Aurora Josephson, and André Custodio. Other artists such as Bill Noertker, Eddie Gale, and India Cooke also participated.
Audible Method, now in its third (Maybe fourth?) incarnation, is exploring introspective realms of sound texture as interpreted by André Custodio and others who will be performing in the series.
Please join us for these special weekly performances spanning over three months.
Featuring: Mika Pontecorvo was born in San Francisco California in 1955. While living just outside of a small desert town in Nevada, he began his sound explorations: first playing with his grandfather’s shortwave radios and, then, later on, in his early teens, playing a number of home made string and wind instruments, a sitar, and experimenting with prepared electric guitar using gum-wrappers and played with a violin bow and an electric razor.
