Join us in an all-inclusive workshop that inspires creative ways of recycling. Eric Hayslett will teach participants how to repurpose recycled containers into musical percussion instruments.
The workshop will conclude with a performance on Community Day: Maker Day on June 4, 2022, featuring percussion instruments crafted from this workshop. Art 101: Re-Percussions is the first STREAM Workshop (Science, Technology, Recycling, Engineering, Arts, and Music).
Eric Hayslett is part of the City of San José Office of Cultural Affairs 2022 Creative Ambassador Program to present “Re-Percussions” – When Art Meets Recycling. As a Creative Ambassador, Eric envisions engaging the community to repurpose, re-engineer, recycle random reusable containers by transforming them into percussion instruments.
