The first solo show of artwork by mixed media artist Cat Kaufman will be at the Pigment + Paste Gallery in the Barlow Center in Sebastopol. Come for the opening reception and also enjoy the Barlow Street Fair that same night!
The show, Cat Kaufman / Mixed Messages runs through July 7 on Thursdays evenings 6 – 7:30 amnd Saturdays and Sundays 12 – 5pm.
The artistic impulse of Cat Kaufman portrays the push and pull between narrative concepts, found objects and restricted abstract surfaces. She uses everyday artifacts to comment on the ironic nature of the human condition and to elicit an emotional response to the piece.
