As part of the 10-year anniversary of the SFJAZZ Collective, this loose, “jam session” style performance offers a rare chance to hear the members of the Collective in an up-close, fun, and informal setting. The band will be in residence at the Joe Henderson Lab, preparing for their four-night run in Miner Auditorium and subsequent national tour, and this night provides an exciting inside look at the band’s inspirations and creative process. Join us for a spontaneous evening of improvisation, works-in-progress and more, featuring members of the Collective in varying combinations. This is a special one-time event that will only happen here.
