Then, after the victorious team takes a hold of the stack of books with the big sword in it (that’s what the NPS trophy looks like) we’ll all take a deep breath and head to the after-party at Shadow Ultra Lounge to shake a tail-feather and reminisce about the week we just spent enjoying each others wonderful company and making plans to take over the world!
The National Poetry Slam is an annual poetry slam championship tournament, where teams of poets gather to share their work with the community and to compete against each other for the national team title. The festival is part championship tournament, part poetry summer camp, and part traveling exhibition. Staged in a different city each year, the National Poetry Slam has emerged as spoken word’s highest profile showcase!
