Join Ari Micich in an evening of virtuoso music for solo trumpet and piano. This unique program features Benjamin Britten’s brass fanfare Fanfare for St Edmundsbury, Tomaso Albinoni’s Concerto in B-flat for trumpet,  Maurice Ravel’s Pièce en forme de Habanera, and much more.

Concert Program

Ari Micich has held positions with the KwaZulu Natal Philharmonic in Durban, South Africa and the Berkeley Symphony in Berkeley California. He has performed with the New World Symphony in Miami and participated in their recent Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall tour under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas. For the 2014-2015 season he was an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and participated in the Spoleto Festival for their 2014 and 2015 seasons. In addition to performing with Bay Area orchestras and new music ensembles he is an avid jazz musician and enjoys playing in pop and indie genres.

Interested in contemporary music, Ari has performed in several productions by the San Francisco based opera company Ensemble Parallèle. He has also performed with Minna Choi’s Magik*Magik Orchestra, with whom he had the opportunity of backing the band Chicago and recording with indie artists at John Vanderslice’s Tiny Telephone Studios.

Ari holds a Master of Music degree and Professional Studies Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory where he studied with Mark Inouye and Dave Burkhart.
