“Robin Davis is the undiscovered champ of ballsy bluegrass guitar.”
— Chris Eldridge, The Punch Brothers“A world-class guitar player.”
— Travis Book, The Infamous Stringdusters
The Robin Davis Duo may be small in numbers … but they will floor the audience every time with their large sound. The front runner of the Duo is no surprise: Robin Davis. Davis spent his entire upbringing with bluegrass on the brain. With a father as a banjo player, Davis formed his music ideology with the familiar bluegrass instruments we all know well. What started as a five-year old playing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” on the fiddle soon became a musician garnering influences from Clarence White, Tony Rice, and Buckethead (the man can shred electric just as well as his pre-war acoustic SUPERTONE).
A Sensitive Person is lead by Californian singer-songwriter Shani Chabansky.
Influenced by traditional American music and freak folk, A Sensitive Person’s lyrics are gender-neutral and weaves the queer narrative into old familiar music.
Haunting melodies wrap around the comfort of a drone. Rhythmically percussive and forward-moving.
