Oakand’s critically acclaimed, ecclectic, and progressively minded quintet Jack O’ The Clock is transforming!
Our dear sister, bassoonist Kate McLoughlin, is relocating to the east coast. We have organized this show, with some of the bay area’s heaviest hitters, as a proper send off for her.
We expect to perform with Kate again in the future, but the circumstances under which that will happen are unforseeable. This is a chance to see this quintet in action before it transforms into its next phase. Yes, we do intend to continue, with the very fortunate addition of another beloved musician, friend, and fellow oddball, whose identity will be revealed in good time. Please join us on this night in sending our beloved Kate off to her new adventure with a grand show of love and support.

Scott Amendola with Kasey Knudsen — saxophone and Jason Hoopes — bass
Joining us will be a first meeting ensemble with the incomparable drum master Scott Amendola, joined by guitar wizard Karl Evangelista, and Jack O’ The Clock / Fred Frith Trio bassist Jason Hoopes. Some original tunes, some improvised stretching out…do not miss this!
Opening the show is none other than legendary experimental folk-rock outfit Faun Fables, led by diversely magical songstress Dawn McCarthy, and supported by Sleepytime Gorilla Museum legend Nils Frykdahl.
