It’s time to get out of the house and back in the art studio! January’s Make + Take is inspired by local artist and OU Professor Jonathan Hils, who is known for welding treated steel to create large-scale sculptures. We’ll adapt the idea for little hands by stringing beads onto wire to create sparkling spheres. Your finished sculpture will look great on any desk or coffee table.
Make + Take provides the ideal opportunity for you to enjoy some quality time with your children while helping them develop their creative skills. Stop by the studios every Second Saturday to find new art-making projects inspired by works of art on view at Oklahoma Contemporary. Projects are designed to be accessible and fun for visitors of all ages and all levels of art-making experience.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
