Special Presentation at Filoli: Floral Artistry
A lecture and demonstration by Bruno Duarte of Fresh Floral Creations, Toronto, Canada

Bruno Duarte’s approach to floral design is both sculptural and emotional, blending organic materials and found objects together to create works of art. Every leaf, every branch, every bloom is a piece of art unto itself. His floral studio in Toronto is often mistaken for an art gallery, where weekly window displays are created to showcase his artistry. Nature provides the inspiration for all of his designs. For this special presentation at Filoli, Bruno will combine organic materials using various techniques to both fascinate and engage the beholder.
Fee: $50 members; $60 non-members. Prerequisite: none
Hands-on Workshop with Bruno Duarte
Date: Friday, April 24
Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
In an intimate classroom setting, attendees will learn how to create floral art through practicing Bruno’s techniques of using all that nature has to offer combined with found objects. Blooms, branches, leaves and other beautiful organic materials will be combined as participants create their own visually stunning arrangement. This is a special opportunity to study with one of Canada’s most well-know designers. His exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design techniques have captured the attention of socialites and A-list celebrities in Canada as well as international glitterati like Rene Zellweger, Patti LaBelle and Sir Elton John.
Fee: $165 members; $200 non-members. Fee includes all materials.
Prerequisite: Some floral design experience

Non-members: Fee includes same-day admission to Filoli to visit the historic House and Garden, Café, Garden and Gift Shop, and art exhibit. Parking is free.
